LOVE the lighting, amazing that some photographers don’t get the chiaroscuro factor of a photo, but you did awesome on these ! Especially the close ups!

Chris, I am interested in some of your courses. Could you provide a little more info on what is covered in nature, outdoor, flash, people, studio and location? I really liked the Rockford background story, the separate interviews, & the music.Of course, The narration was A+++.As time progresses, this may become a time capsule if the Speedway dissolves as so many others have.Excellent job, Eric .

Besides a drink in the other hand you should be fine. Lighting nightclubs/bars is a balance of settings and understanding the distance you are from the subject. I like to shoot slightly wide and stay within a certain range from the main subject. This way the light plays well and makes the shooting time easier. Also try and force angles that leave light in the background such as neons so it gives good balance to the photo.

I’m shooting in a nightclub this Tuesday March 29th, 2011 for my firs time. I’m not a first time photographer, but I just needed some tips on the shoot. I have a Canon 400D . 50mm f1.8
and a 18-50mm f2.8 – 4.5 and a canon 430exii with a gary fong diffuser and triggers. Do I need anything else?
