Kicking ass in the old house...

What do you get when you combine gorgeous model with awesome ink and a kickass location???? Ummm a shoot with Ms. Nouveau would be the correct answer!
I met her on the only place to go for models and photographers, Model Mayhem. We chatted back and forth on ideas and came to the conclusion we needed to rock the series I’ve been working on for the past few months. You can’t beat an outfit you can tear up and only costs you a few bucks. I’ve been making weekly trips to Burlington Coat Factory for full on pantyhose that we could shred for shoots. So far the concept has been working out amazingly and not copied just yet so I truly can’t complain.
She came by and was early, which meant I was late, and by the time we got started the action was going fast. A quick outfit choosing, which basically meant trying clothes she had never worn in other shoots, and a quick lighting setup gave us a starting point for the shoot. She had mentioned she wasn’t that experienced but was a pleasure to work with since she kept the pace going and I just had to shoot so basically she rocked. Time flew by and it was time to change it all up! We got her setup in some torn up pantyhose and a sexy top with jacket and ran out to the cold, it was most likely below freezing and if it wasn’t it felt like it, and played in the abandoned house by the studio. We shot quick so we didn’t freeze the poor girl and then ran back to the studio for warmth, except we stopped off at Taylor Street for a slice of pizza as a quick detour from the cold and craziness.
Back in the studio we rocked a few more outfits and played around with some new lighting setups in areas of the studio I’ve never tried before. Definitely a great learning experience and Nouveau was excellent from start to finish.
It was time to say goodbye and I was left with a stack of editing and a memory of another great shoot with a new model. Major props to you miss and of course Kyle for pretending he could brave the cold while helping out on location.
Until the next shoot I’m back to playing board games with the fam and relaxing because Christmas is a perfect excuse to do nothing but sleep and play games.
