I’ve been on a mission lately to go through my old images and give them a second look and maybe even a second chance at life…
In the 4 years that I’ve been photographing anything I’ve kept a good backup of all the imagery captured but not in any good searchable order. Last night I started on an adventure to revive my old imagery and see what still intrigues me and maybe bring some back to life zombie style!
Since there is no particular order to how I backed things up in the past I just started with the first folder that popped up and loaded it into Aperture 3. Noel is an awesome model, we’ve done some great shoots and I really loved this particular shoot because I truly felt the lighting in the building was magnificent and her outfit totally rocked. I didn’t do a great job in the color department with the original set so with my new fangled tools I was able to bring back some great colors and all those new presets came in handy when I made them pop like they should have months ago.
Going back taught me a few things. One, is that I was a little lazier in editing; two, is that my organization sucked and lastly that I love remembering all that went on during the day of the shoot and how much fun Noel and I always have. It really makes ones job that much better when you can sit back and enjoy all the great moments you’ve had and know that there many more on the horizon. Thankfully my job involves taking a ton of photos and even if I reach the ages where I start to lose my mind even more I’ll still be able to look back at what I’ve done, who I’ve hung out and the adventures I had with them.
Sadly this building is now being used on and off to store government vehicles and can’t get the courage to go back. I’ll just have to wait until the city gets bored of it and leaves it alone once again.
Well, I’m super tired and need a break from the world. The last five nights in a row have been 5am bed times and 11am rises so it’s time to play catchup and get a visit from the sandman sooner than later. Goodnight all and stay tuned for more revisits!

Keep up the fine work Chris, I am also in a similar stage of things, several external hard drives packed with pictures that I am now going back through and tagging in an attempt to get the digital monster under control.
Love your work keep it up.
