Rockford Illinois and the craziest model shoot… For now!

It wasn’t too long ago that this nutso photographer put together the biggest shoot in this small cities history thanks to tons of amazing people.

Now if you hadn’t guessed I’m kind of strange in the wow he can’t keep one train of thought going without spilling over to the next kind of way and as such it helps me be capable of insane things at times. This definitely happened on the week of June 6th in an exponential kind of way. I had been sitting there at my desk working when I figured I would try to do something that no one else here had ever even thought of doing. Let’s bring a ton of models, bring unusually awesome props, hair, makeup, beer, music and video all together for one big bash. On June 6th 2011 I, Chris Warkocki, started the chain reaction that was dubbed the June 9th Epic Photoshoot.

This kid is friends with lots of amazing people from models to car enthusiast to snake handlers to an amazing video crew and I called everyone I could possibly think of within a day and began the ground work for trying to bring something here and now. I had the models coming in left and right, I had a concept for outfits that would be simple but I needed more. Big props to the kick ass dude Jose Galarza of Faction 5 video for letting me use his granite shop as a location cause that made space simple plus running the video camera and logistics all night on the big day, definitely would never happened without you dude. Our mutual good buddy and great drunk, Eric Steiner, came in the picture and helped assemble the needed rain machine and video element we were looking for and as such was so vital to the development it would have been forgotten before it began. Fast forward a few hours to a call to the kickass peeps I met at Swilligans oh so long ago. Love you Stephen Ramsden, Lizzie Ramsden, Jared Ramsden and Drew Bentley for coming along with your motorcycles cause yeah, wouldn’t have made it as awesome without you. Within minutes afterwards I had the confirmation of the 50th anniversary Corvette from Phil Anders as well as Hair styling by my most favoritest styler and friend of friends Dan Miller and his partner in hair crimes Jason Miller. Guns and swords… yup you know I called Nate Vestal the craziest cow poke with an attitude as killer as his collection of weaponry.

Just to throw out some names from the bad ass day  have to mention all of our amazing models that came out, suffered in the cold rain, laughed, cried and enjoyed every second of the day. Without all of you this would have just been a normal shoot in the books, but your effort made it happen and I love each and every one of you for being part of this and know that you all did a phenomenal job!

If I’ve forgotten anyone I really do apologize but my memory ain’t what it used to be. More importantly I can’ thank everyone enough who was able to be part of the creation and execution process because you all made this happen. We had an amazing timeand I’d like to share this video done up beautifully by the Faction 5 video crew.
