I’ve had quite a few high school senior sessions, but none like this.
Kaylee is your average senior at Hononegah High School just north of Rockford, but what wasn’t normal was our extremely eventful drive from location a to location b. So we were rocking imagery at the Rockford Arboretum snapping images for mom and the family and getting a few Kaylee was more in tune with when we decided we need a change of scenery. We drove north on Mulford and proceeded to head west on Spring Creek when we all noticed a man riding a motorcycle with what looked like wings strapped to his back. It really wasn’t wings, but actually a portfolio binder he had stepped to his back for the commute. We all felt it was odd and proceeded down the street until I glanced back through the rearview mirror and saw the man lift off his bike, proceeded by rolling and flipping while his bike was being torn to shreds and a car narrowly missing his ragdoll like body tumbling aimlessly down the street. One quick 180, Kaylee making a 911 call, Chris pulling the bike away from the leaking oil and gasoline on the street while turning it off and heading to the still coherent, but in shock man laid out on the side of the road. Paramedics responded quickly and after a short synopsis of the event to a friendly police officer we were back on our merry way.
All I have to say is ummm, “wow!”
We needed our day in a completely new location for high schoolers to be photographed. Mom and Kaylee loved it all and I can’t wait for them to see what we captured.
Great adventure with an amazing student that loves fashion and style so it was a perfect mis to blend my background in fashion and model work with someone up for the challenge. I hope all the next sessions are just as awesome, but minus any need to call 911.

You get all the adventures
