You got to love getting outside when it’s still nice outside and grabbing some killer images with one of your favorite models. Not only did Brittany and i get out there and get some killer shots, but we brought Mr. Kyle Wilson with us, one of the new members of the FotoEnvy team, to help with lighting and also to get him shooting some cooler subject matter. It didn’t take long to see that minimal equipment was needed as the creek was fairly well shaded and lit for the most part.

The hardest part of the shoot had to be standing barefoot on the jagged rocks with our oversized photographer frames while trying to grab shots. The only setup here was a giant oval diffuser to kill some of the stray light beams coming in through the trees, then we shot flash through the diffuser for a little fill. The best part of this simple lighting scheme was that the natural colors were able to show in the water and give us that great nature feel.

Big shout out to Kyle for coming out to help and of course the amazing Brittany who has a look no other model in the area has. I can’t wait to break some more boundaries, but next time we are investing in water shoes so our feet don’t end up feeling like pin cushions…
